Richard Jelinek
Richard was born in Sydney, Australia in 1954 and moved to Germany in 1957. After learning Radio & Television Technology, he worked from 1976 until 1977 for a German company. He fixed Laser transmitters and receivers used on U.S. Tanks. Starting in 1977 until 1979, Richard worked for the 5th Signal Command  (232 Signal Battalion) in Wiesbaden on AFN’s TV Transmitter. From 1979 until 1986, he worked for the 1836 EIS / EIG installing communications equipment.  Since 1986, Richard has been working for AFN, first in Frankfurt, and beginning in 2003, for AFN Hessen in Wiesbaden.
